Common Questions

Quick, clear answers before you book.

The practical answers couples ask when they’re getting close to booking — coverage, delivery, drone, payment plans, the lot. If anything’s missing here, send me a message and I’ll come back personally within 24 hours.

How far do you travel? Do you cover all of the UK?

Based in Thetford, Norfolk, I regularly cover Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. UK-wide and destination weddings are absolutely on the table — for longer distances I factor any travel or overnight costs into the quote at cost, so you’re never surprised by extras.

Photo, video… or both?

You can choose photography only, video only or combined photography and videography. Compare the hours, photographs and film deliverables in each option. We plan your priorities and timeline together and discuss additional coverage where moments happen simultaneously.

Do you include drone footage?

Yes — where weather, light and airspace allow. I’m UK CAA licensed and fully insured for drone work, and I coordinate with your venue ahead of the day to make sure aerial coverage is safe and permitted.

For combined photo and video, drone is included with Silver and Gold, and is an optional add-on for Bronze. For photography-only coverage, drone photographs are included with Complete Collection. For video-only coverage, drone footage is included with Complete Film Collection. Drone is an optional extra on the other photography-only and video-only packages, subject to conditions and permissions.

What’s included and how fast do we get everything?

You’ll get a fast sneak peek within a few days of your wedding — usually 10 to 20 hero shots so you have something to share with family while you wait for the full set.

Your full gallery and films are delivered to a private online gallery for easy share and download. Turnaround varies a little by season — peak summer is slower than off-peak — but I always give you a clear ETA in your booking confirmation and keep you updated.

Can we add Live Streaming, 360° highlights or an Audio Guest Book?

Yes to all three. I offer wedding live streaming for family members who can’t make it in person, 360-degree highlight coverage where the venue allows, and the brilliant Telephone for Hire audio guest book — guests pick up the receiver and leave a voice message you can keep forever.

Do you work well with venues and other suppliers?

Yes. My approach is calm, discreet and unobtrusive on the day — I coordinate quietly with planners, DJs, florists and venue teams so the day flows naturally without anyone tripping over each other.

15+ years of weddings means I’ve worked at most of the major Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire venues — but if your venue’s new to me, I’ll do a recce or detailed plan ahead of the day.

Are you insured and do you have backup gear?

I carry public liability and equipment insurance, with backup cameras, lenses, audio equipment and storage. Backup recording and file handling are part of my workflow for reducing the risk of equipment or storage failures. You can ask about the arrangements for your chosen coverage before booking.

What about music licensing for our film?

Music is selected with licensing suitable for the agreed film use. If you have a particular song in mind, mention it before editing so we can check whether it can be used or choose an alternative with a similar mood. Online platforms can still flag music; contact me if that happens with your delivered film.

Can we have the RAW files?

RAW files aren’t part of the package — I deliver carefully edited, finished images and films that reflect the documentary-cinematic style. The edit is a big part of what you’re booking, and unedited RAWs don’t represent the work.

That said, if there’s a specific extra moment from the day you’d love that didn’t make the main edit, just ask and I’ll happily export it for you.

How do we book?

Start with a quick availability check — tell me your date, your venue and roughly which package feels right. I’ll come back within 24 hours.

To secure your date, I’ll send a simple agreement and a £300 retainer invoice. Once that’s in, your date is yours and I won’t take another booking for the same day.

What’s your approach on the day?

Documentary-cinematic. I photograph and film your day as it actually unfolds — real moments, natural light, zero fuss. I’ll offer gentle direction during couple portraits and a short list of group shots, but the rest is captured candidly so you can be present with your guests rather than performing for a camera.

If you’d like to see the look in action, the real wedding galleries show how it translates across very different venues and times of year.

What should we plan for group photos?

Keep it snappy — 6 to 10 groups works brilliantly. Any more and you’ll spend an hour of your wedding day in a queue, and your guests will get restless. I’ll send a planning document a few weeks before so we can build the group list together, and on the day I’ll move through it efficiently so you can get back to the party.

Do you need a meal on the day?

Yes please — a hot meal during your wedding breakfast keeps me fuelled to capture the evening properly. I eat away from your guests (usually in a separate room the venue provides for suppliers) and I’m back in the room before speeches start. Most venues are well set up for this and will arrange it directly with you.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. The standard structure is £300 deposit at booking, with the balance due 1 month before your wedding. Within that, you’re free to pay in any way that suits — all in one go, monthly chunks from booking, or anything in between.

No interest, no fees, no admin charge for splitting it up. The only firm rule is that the balance needs to be cleared a month before the day.

What is the difference between a documentary film and a highlight film?

A documentary film gives a longer account of the day and the included events, while a highlight film is a shorter edited story. They are different deliverables, so check your selected package. Combined Silver includes a documentary film, with a highlight available as an extra; see combined packages and video-only options for the current inclusions.

Can we add vertical content, guest photo sharing or a video book?

Yes. Vertical social content, QR guest photo sharing and a video book are available options. They are separate extras unless expressly included in your package. The video book price covers the physical keepsake loaded with a completed film, rather than creating a new highlight edit.
