Natural, unposed, a little bit wild.
I’m Paul Ovenden of Paul Mindy Photography — an award-winning boho wedding photographer in Norfolk with 15+ years of documentary and cinematic wedding work. My approach is built for relaxed, festival-style days: I capture the messy hair, happy tears, confetti chaos and golden-hour magic without making anyone feel posed or staged.
Regular coverage across Norfolk, with travel to Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and UK-wide on request — from rustic tipi weddings to wildflower-meadow ceremonies to coastal celebrations on the Norfolk shore.
Laid-back elegance, wild romance.
Boho weddings are about relaxed elegance with a touch of wild romance — tipis and dried flowers, flowing dresses and sunset fields, festival energy and barefoot dancing. Everything personal, nothing rigid.
That’s exactly how I shoot. Documentary coverage first — so you can actually live the day — then natural portraits when the light is perfect. No posing marathons, no awkward “okay everyone freeze” moments.
It’s the same documentary wedding photography ethos I bring to every Norfolk wedding — relaxed into the free-spirited energy of a boho day.
Three things that matter for boho days.
Documentary style
No posing marathons. I’ll gently guide when it genuinely helps, then step back so your boho story stays authentic — messy hair, happy tears, real moments.
One-photographer hybrid
Photo and video covered by me alone — no big crew cluttering up your tipi or ceremony space. One calm presence, consistent style across stills and film.
Drone & 360°
Boho venues look incredible from above. Cinematic drone establishing shots and 360-degree moments where venue permission, airspace and weather allow.
Norfolk is basically boho gold.
Norfolk’s mix of rustic barns, woodland clearings, wildflower meadows and stretches of unspoilt coast makes it one of the best counties in England for boho weddings. Tipi pitches, festival-style barn venues, coastal celebrations — I cover them all and know how the light works in each.
If your day leans a particular way, see also my tipi & festival and barn wedding pages, or browse the Norfolk wedding venues guide.
The good stuff I won’t miss.
Boho wedding FAQs
Quick answers to the questions boho couples ask before booking. Anything else? Send a message — replies within 24 hours.
Do you pose couples for boho weddings?
Light guidance only. Boho is about natural connection, so portraits stay relaxed and movement-based — walking together, candid laughs, quiet moments rather than stiff “smile at the camera” setups. Most of the day, you forget the camera’s there.
Can you cover photo and video for a boho wedding?
Yes — I cover both as a one-photographer hybrid, giving consistent boho style across your gallery and film. One calm presence on the day instead of a big crew getting in the way of your tipi or ceremony space.
The combined photo and video package is significantly better value than booking two separate suppliers.
Do you include drone shots?
Yes — when it’s safe, legal and venue-approved. UK CAA licensed and fully insured. Drone and 360-degree shots are absolutely magic for boho venues — tipis from above, wildflower meadows, festival-style setups, coastal celebrations — they all photograph beautifully from the air.
We’re not a “typical” boho wedding — is that okay?
Totally. Boho is personal — whether you’re going full festival with pampas grass and macramé arches or something softly rustic with a quiet outdoor ceremony, I match your energy. The aesthetic is yours, not a checklist.
Do you cover tipi and outdoor weddings differently?
Yes — outdoor and tipi weddings have their own rhythm and lighting challenges. Canvas tipis have lovely warm interior light but tricky exposure when you’re moving between bright outside and softer inside. Outdoor ceremonies depend heavily on time of day and shade.
15+ years of these means I plan around the light rather than fight it — we’ll talk through the timeline at the planning stage so the key moments hit the best light. See my tipi & festival wedding page for more on outdoor coverage.
