Historic, refined & full of character.
Cambridge offers some of the most beautiful wedding settings in England — gothic college courts, manicured lawns, historic halls, Georgian terraces and the gentle character of the River Cam. The visual richness is extraordinary, but it comes with specific logistics: college venues often have strict timing rules, restricted photography areas, and tight ceremony-to-reception transitions.
With 15+ years of wedding experience, I plan around venue rules and city logistics so the photography stays calm, efficient and unhurried.
Three things Cambridge weddings need.
Documentary storytelling
Natural coverage within your agreed hours — real reactions, unscripted laughter, quiet candid moments. Zero awkward posing. The day captured as it actually felt.
Cambridge venue experience
College courts, historic halls and city-centre venues often run to tight schedules. I plan portraits and group photographs efficiently so you get strong coverage without losing time with your guests.
Drone photographs and optional film
Drone photographs are optional extras for Essential and Full Day, and included with Complete Collection where conditions permit. Flights depend on venue permission, airspace, weather and operating conditions. Film and 360-degree clips depend on a separately selected video or combined package; they are not standard photography inclusions.

For a Cambridge college or city-centre wedding, tell me which rooms and outdoor spaces are available for photographs, when access begins and whether your ceremony and reception are in different places. We can plan family groups and a short couple session around those arrangements, with an indoor alternative if the weather changes.
This page focuses on Cambridge city and nearby villages. For a celebration further north, see Ely wedding photography; for the wider county, use the Cambridgeshire photography page.

Cambridge wedding FAQs
Practical answers about Cambridge venues, timing and city wedding logistics. Anything else? Send a message — replies within 24 hours.
Do you photograph weddings at Cambridge colleges?
Yes — Cambridge college venues are some of the most beautiful wedding settings in England. However, colleges have specific rules about wedding photography — certain courts may be restricted, photography permits sometimes apply, and timing windows can be tight between civil ceremony and reception.
I plan around these constraints at the consultation stage so we know exactly what’s possible at your specific college before the day.
Do you cover both photography and videography?
Yes, but photography is the primary focus of this Cambridge page. If you want film as well, see the combined photo + video packages; if you only need stills, use the photography packages. For film coverage, see my Cambridge wedding videography page.
Do you travel across Cambridgeshire?
Yes. This page focuses on Cambridge city and nearby villages. I also cover Ely, Newmarket and wider Cambridgeshire, with travel within Cambridgeshire included. See the county photography page for wider coverage. Any travel beyond the regular coverage area is agreed in your quote.
How soon do we see previews?
You’ll receive a small fast preview set within the week so you can relive the day quickly and start sharing. The full photography gallery follows on the agreed package timeline; if you also book film, video delivery follows the selected video package.
Do you offer drone and 360° for Cambridge weddings?
Drone photographs are optional extras for Essential and Full Day, and included with Complete Collection where conditions permit. Flights depend on venue permission, airspace, weather and operating conditions. Film and 360-degree clips depend on a separately selected video or combined package; they are not standard photography inclusions.
What about Cambridge college timing restrictions?
College weddings can have tight timing windows between ceremony and reception slots, and some colleges restrict photography to specific areas.
With 15+ years of wedding experience, I plan portraits efficiently around the actual rules for your college so you still get strong coverage without feeling rushed.
