Whether it’s a DIY converted farm barn, a country estate barn with festoon lighting, or a rustic tipi-and-barn hybrid setup, the atmosphere does half the work for you.

Do you pose couples for barn weddings?
Very lightly. Barn weddings work best when captured naturally with minimal interruption. Portrait time is short, gently directed, and usually paired with a walk to the best light around the venue rather than a long posed session away from your guests.
Can we add wedding video to our barn photography package?
Yes. If you want both services, see the combined wedding photography + videography packages. Photography remains the primary focus of this barn page.
Do you include drone shots?
Drone coverage depends on your selected package or agreed add-on, as well as suitable weather, airspace, site permissions and safe operating conditions. It is not automatically included with every photography or film booking. We discuss feasibility for your location before the day; 360-degree coverage is also confirmed separately in your quote. Are barn venues too dark for good photos?
Not at all — barn venues are some of my favourite settings to shoot. The warm interior light, fairy lights, candles and timber textures create incredible atmosphere. I work with the natural ambience rather than blasting flash that kills the mood.
That experience helps with the mix of bright doorways, warm interiors and shadowed corners that is typical of barn venues.
What if our barn is more rustic-boho than traditional rustic?
That’s perfect — rustic-boho hybrid is one of the most popular Norfolk wedding styles right now. Pampas grass on timber beams, macramé arches in barn courtyards, wildflower bouquets, festoon lighting outside — it all photographs beautifully with the same documentary approach.

Can we have family photographs if we want a relaxed barn wedding?
Yes. A short list of the groups that matter to you and someone who knows the guests helps keep this part organised. We agree a suitable location and timing, then return to candid coverage. Documentary photography can include planned family portraits without making the whole day feel staged.
