Elopements that feel like you.
Looking for an elopement photographer in Norfolk? Elopements are about stripping it back to what matters — you two, your story, and a setting that feels right.
I’m Paul Ovenden of Paul Mindy Photography, an award-winning Norfolk wedding photographer and videographer. I keep elopements relaxed and real — capturing the laughs, the nerves, the tears and the quiet moments without forcing a thing. It’s the same calm documentary wedding photography approach I bring to every day, just stripped back to the two of you. See the full Norfolk wedding photographer hub for everything I offer.
Three things that matter when you elope.
Intimate storytelling
No big crowds, no pressure — just honest moments and cinematic light. You won’t feel photographed; I blend in, guide lightly when it helps, and let the day be yours.
Hybrid photo + film
Stills and cinematic film covered by one person — no crew, no juggling suppliers. One calm presence keeps your elopement seamless and consistent in style.
Drone highlights
For cliff-tops, beaches, woods and wide countryside, cinematic aerials add epic scale — included where weather, airspace and safety allow. UK CAA licensed.
A day built around the two of you.
- A private ceremony without a big timeline or guest list
- Natural portraits with minimal direction
- A cinematic highlight film without a crew
- Golden-hour photos in a place that means something
- A calm, friendly hybrid photographer-filmmaker
Elopement settings across Norfolk.
I’ve captured elopements on the coast at Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cromer, in woodland around Thetford Forest, and in quiet countryside spots near Norwich, Diss and Holt. If you’ve somewhere special in mind, I’ll help you make the most of it — and if you’re drawn to wild, natural settings, my outdoor & woodland coverage pairs perfectly with an elopement.
Elopement FAQs
Practical answers about eloping in Norfolk. Anything else? Send a message — replies within 24 hours.
How many hours do you cover for an elopement?
Anything from a short ceremony plus portraits to a full-day adventure elopement — we tailor the coverage to exactly what your day needs, with no rigid package forced on you.
Can you do both photo and video for elopements?
Yes — my hybrid setup gives you consistent stills and cinematic film without extra people around. Many couples choose the combined photo + video package so everything matches in style. Photography-only is available too.
Do you help plan locations and timing?
Absolutely. I’ll suggest spots, the best light windows and a simple timeline so the whole day stays relaxed — that local knowledge across the Norfolk coast and countryside is a big part of what you’re booking.
Is drone footage always possible?
It depends on weather, safety and local airspace rules — coastal nature reserves in particular can have restrictions. When it’s possible, it’s included. I’m UK CAA licensed and fully insured, and I’ll be straight with you about whether drone is realistic at your chosen spot.
How do we book you?
Send your date and rough plan via the contact form and I’ll confirm availability quickly — usually within 24 hours.
