I’m Paul Ovenden of Paul Mindy Photography, a Thetford-based wedding videographer. I film the voices, movement and small reactions that bring a wedding day back: the nerves before the ceremony, a speech that makes everyone laugh, and your first dance together.
Choose film on its own or photography and video together. The coverage hours and finished edits are agreed around your plans, whether you are celebrating in town, at a village hall or at a country venue nearby.
Laura & Steve at The Norfolk Terrier
Laura and Steve married at Gretna Green before celebrating with family and friends at The Norfolk Terrier in Thetford. I covered their home celebration with photographs and film, including riverside portraits and the evening gathering. Their story shows how a personal celebration can make a memorable film without a large estate or elaborate staging.

Vows and speeches worth hearing again
Sound gives a wedding film its character. Before the day, we discuss ceremony permissions, microphone arrangements and the speech timetable. Dedicated audio equipment helps capture the spoken moments discreetly, with the recording plan adapted to your venue.
Tell me which moments you want in full. A documentary film, a short highlight and separate ceremony or speech recordings are different deliverables; your chosen package and quote set out exactly what you receive.
From preparations to just after first dance
For many couples, preparations through to just after the first dance takes around nine hours. Your actual timetable determines the coverage you need. If you are getting ready separately, moving between a church and reception or planning speeches late in the evening, share those details before choosing your hours.
Compare the current wedding video packages for prices and film inclusions. A highlight can be added where it is not included. For dedicated photographs as well, explore Thetford wedding photography.
Town, countryside and celebrations near Thetford
From my Thetford base, I cover weddings in the town and enquiries around Brandon, Mundford and the Norfolk–Suffolk border. A short journey between locations still needs time for parking, equipment and sound checks, so I build those transitions into the filming plan.
For woodland portraits or outdoor celebrations, we agree access, permissions and an indoor alternative. Drone footage is an optional part of the brief where venue permission, airspace, weather and safe conditions allow.

Can we book a wedding film without photography?
Yes. You can book video-only coverage, or choose a combined photography and videography package. The quote confirms the filming hours and finished edits.
Does a documentary film include a highlight?
A documentary film and a highlight are different edits. Check the selected package: a highlight can be added where it is not included. Complete ceremony and speech recordings are also confirmed in your quote.
Can you film a reception after we marry elsewhere?
Yes. Laura and Steve’s Norfolk Terrier celebration is an example of photography and film coverage after a ceremony elsewhere. Coverage can be planned around your reception, speeches and evening celebrations.
Can we have vertical clips for social media?
Yes, 9:16 social clips can be discussed as a separate content-creation brief or add-on. Agree clip quantities, filming priorities and delivery before booking; they are not automatically included in every film package.
